In 1996 Greg Petersen and Kristal Roach started Petersen Organics on their small farm on Hawaii's big island. Their first product was Gingerade, a simple mix of Hawaiian yellow ginger and organic lemon juice grown on their farm with filtered water and agave nectar. This potent health tonic soon made its way to the local brewery's menu and then to grocery stores becoming a local favorite.

Many years later Greg and Kristal decided to take Big Island Organics to the mainland. Today their different gingerades are offered at organic and natural food stores as well as grocery markets like Whole Foods and Bristol Farms. They continue to be made from the finest 100% organic ingredients formulated to strengthen the immunity, improve circulation, aid digestion, energize the body and tantalize the taste buds, all the while being socially and ecologically sustainable.
